30th Annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium
Thursday – Saturday, January 11-13, 2018
The annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium program is designed to broaden exposure to cutting-edge biotechnologies, product-focused innovation and the spectrum of career paths available in the life sciences. The symposium brings CSU students, faculty and administrators together, along with biotech professionals working in academia, government and industry. Faculty and administrators system-wide, along with community college colleagues, use the event to catch up, initiate collaborations, share ideas and swap lessons learned.
The 30th annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium will run from Thursday (Jan. 11) through Saturday (Jan. 13th). The program typically begins around noon on Thursday. The symposium wraps up around 9 pm Saturday night after the Awards Banquet.
On Sunday, January 14th, the CSUPERB Faculty Consensus Group (FCG) meets at the Santa Clara Marriott. The meeting is open to interested CSU faculty, administrators and staff.
The FCG starts work on the 2018 symposium program in earnest after the Summer meeting on July 31st, 2017.
For first-timers: The CSUPERB Facebook Page is home to a series of symposium photo galleries to give you a sense of what the event is like. Here’s the link to the January 2017 photo album.
The Santa Clara Marriott is the host venue again for this year’s symposium. The hotel (“M” in the map below) is a ~5-10 minute taxi ride from Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC).
